As of January 2016, the regulatory body states that all therapists wishing to carry out laser or IPL treatments must have the Level 4 qualification. This is now a mandatory requirement.

The insurance companies also require that laser technicians must hold a level 4 laser and IPL certificate in order to be insured. The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is an advanced qualification that has been specially designed for beauty therapists who would like to qualify as a laser aesthetic technician.

 

We will help you to develop all the skills required to perform Laser/IPL hair removal treatments and skin rejuvenation. In addition to this, students will learn the basic health and safety precautions for operating laser technology in the salon.

 

Our training will also cover skills to analyse the hair and skin type, identify any treatment contra-indications, likely contra-actions, and also how to develop a specific course of treatment plan to suit individual client needs.

 

You will learn the ways to manage safe working practices and how to identify and control hazards in an aesthetic clinic or beauty salon environment.

VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies

Fee:£1500.00

Fees include all registration fees, training & assessments. (Fees can be split: £600 deposit, £450 on week 4 & £450 on week 8)

Pre-requisite: Level 2 VTCT required as entry requirement to this course.

10 week course  (1 day attendance week)

This is an advanced qualification that has been designed uniquely for level 2 qualified beauty therapists or medical experts who want to offer advanced aesthetic treatments. This course is also suitable for individuals who have completed a CPD or accredited pathway and wish to have a regulated pathway for accessing aesthetic courses.

The VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetics has been developed for individuals who wish to progress on to the higher aesthetics levels. 

This course consist of five units which include:

• Maintain health and safety in the salon (assessed via written assignments & theory exam)

• Skin analysis and facial skincare (assessed via practical assessment, assignments & theory exam)

• Consultation and client care (assessed via written assignments & theory exam)

• Anatomy, physiology and pathology (assessed via written assignments consisting of a workbook & theory exam)

• Electrical science (assessed via written assignments & theory exam)

VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Certificate in Skin Peeling 

Fee: £750.00.

Fees include all registration fees, training and assessments. (Fees can be split as £750 deposit, £750 on week 4)

Pre-requisite: Level 3 VTCT required as entry requirement to this course.

3 week course  (1 day attendance week)

This is an advanced qualification that has been designed uniquely for level 3 qualified beauty therapists or medical experts who want to offer advanced aesthetic treatments. 

You will also learn the science behind skin peeling to develop all the skills required to carry out skin peeling treatments safely. 

In the course, you will learn how to use various chemicals for skin peels, such as

• Glycolic acid

• Salicylic Acid

• Kojic acid

• And other

Training will include the full client consultation process for aesthetics (procedures, contraindications, and patch testing), aftercare advice,additional treatment plans. You will look at the core science behind chemical peels, learn health and safety elements, preparing the working area, sterilising equipment, and the correct disposal of equipment for aesthetics. You will also cover the various acids used in chemical peels – the pH, percentages, and application process.

You will look at a range of skin concerns such as:

• acne

• dehydrated skin

• dull skin tone

• enlarged skin pores

• fine lines and wrinkles

• hyperpigmentation

VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Certificate in Skin Needling

Fee: £750.00.

Pre-requisite: Level 3 VTCT required as entry requirement to this course.

3 week course (1 day attendance week)

Designed uniquely for those who are already level 3 qualified beauty therapists, or for those who have medical training and want to add advanced aesthetic procedures to their treatments. 

This course includes learning and understanding the safety concerns when providing skin needling treatments. Training will include the full client consultation process for aesthetics (procedures, contraindications, and patch testing), aftercare advice,additional treatment plans. You will look at the core science behind chemical peels, learn health and safety elements, preparing the working area, sterilising equipment, and the correct disposal of equipment for aesthetics.

As part of learning to deliver skin needling treatments, you will learn how to choose the correct needle size and how to determine the length and strength of the client’s treatment and monitor their reaction for future treatment planning.

VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Certificate in Dermaplaning

VTCT Level 4 Combined Chemical Peel, Dermaplaning & Microneedling Course  Fee: £2000.00.
